The Aftermath of Hurricane Earl

Hurricane Earl Aftermath

I woke up this morning to my computer telling me I was not connected to the internet. I kept hitting refresh, saying to myself, sure, whatever. Until, I realized that it was the computer that was right. I checked my phone. Dead. The TV? Black, show-less. CRAP!

I decide to go walk down to the flea market to give myself something to do and on the way I saw people repairing power lines from trees that gave way overnight. Man, I thought we were in the clear!

Hurricane Earl Aftermath

How very interesting that the house from my Treevenge post was spared by this tree. I probably would not have been so charitable. Poor tree!!!

I get to the building the flea market is supposed to be and it's closed. Everything, is closed. Might as well go back home.

Hurricane Earl Aftermath

This is the tallest tree in my neighbourhood. Normally you can see its four tall leafy fingers reaching for the sky. Now, there is only one tall tree limb left.

Even I was not spared from the aftermath. I woke up to discover my right shoulder injured all over again from doing stuff that had to be done to prepare for the hurricane. All that time resting and all those painkillers and I am back to where I started. I am so sick of Nova Scotia drama. It is literally tearing me apart.

Your storm updates were great, Suzie! Hope it cools off now and the humidity will soon go.
