Ten years ago my husband and I got married in a Victorian inn in Ontario. One week later we threw everything we owned into a small U-Haul truck and moved across Canada to British Columbia. When we got there we had no place to live and camped under the Lions Gate Bridge for a while... then moved into a hotel that was used in the X Files until we found a condo to rent in South Vancouver. On clear days you could see Mount Baker on your walks and every night I watched the sunset past Vancouver Island.
This is the first year in four anniversaries we get to spend together. He is away a lot and just having him here is a huge gift to me. We are far away from that big adventure we had after we got married but I know we will be packing our lives up once again one day and following the sunset home again.
For now, I am just so happy he is here. How lucky am I?

I read the post before this...and it warmed my heart to read about your husband's return from the land you love so much. I live on the left coast, you know :) And while I won't be near the ocean this weekend, I will be in the hills. And I'll say ask the Grandmothers and Grandfathers to help you get back home.
