Jamie is asking this week for The Happy Book where we are right now. Well, I am surrounded by evidence that fall is here. I am feeling all confused because we are getting humid gross weather which does not feel right for the first day of October. No sunshine, dark and dreary. How original.
Since I came home from my trip to PEI I have not been very happy. We had fantastic weather the entire time we were away and since we got home it has been just so depressing. Also, I have been stupid busy trying to catch up which makes me sad. That said, there is some good news!

The crazy neighbours finally sold their house! It's a miracle. All summer I have been watching and waiting and finally there is a sold sign on their house. Thank goodness! Now I just hope we get nice neighbours that won't have parties every night or try and set my lawn on fire.

I have only had Halloween foodie disasters for the last few weeks and I really want to be the Halloween Foodie Queen of the World so that was quite heartbreaking but it is official, I have successfully made chocolate peanut butter mice for my foodie blog. That makes me feel much better.
Normally this is my favourite time of year but I am not super inspired this autumn at all. I hope that with my good news and foodie triumphs this will help turn my spirits around. I hope to watch spooky movies, read ghost stories and start to feel better.
In five years I want to have been in BC for at least four of those years, living in a downtown condo close to all the restaurants and markets and then spend the weekends in our cottage outside the city overlooking the ocean. I want to be covering restaurants and all sorts of foodie events as a foodie reporter, feeling healthier than I ever have in my life. Healing and getting stronger, happy to be back at home and super successful, living a beautiful life with my husband. I probably have published my first book at this point too!

Hey food writer - you're gonna make it there I'm sure.
Quick question. Are Canadians all short or is your neighbour's window that low to the ground for another reason??
Thanks so much! I am working on it, LOL.
We have what are called split levels here in Nova Scotia so the basements are actually above ground but it does look kind of weird from this photo.
I like to travel, but there is a ton of work to do preparing to go away and then a ton of work to do catching up once you're home again. So that's why I don't like to travel to too many places too close together! The extra work requirements would kill me.
Oh Suzie I hope you are soaked in west coast sunshine before you know it. Those mice are killer and sound dangerously delicious.
Congrats on the moving neighbour! Here's wishing for a wonderful surprise moving in.
Those mice and ghost stories... A good place to start.
Oh Suzie, I would so love to be biting into your mice at this moment. YUMMY! I have faith in you. As I know you can do any thing your truly wish. And remind your self every day when you wake up. This is going to be an awesome day no matter what. Because you can not find happiness. You have to create it.
Your dreams are awesome Suzie! I really wish for them to become reality, but I don't think I need to wish, I feel that it will be real for you :)
You are totally the Halloween Foodie Queen of the World!! No doubt about it.
And reading your vision of where you'll be in 5 years, I have to say, as Suzie wishes for herself, so I wish for her also, (even if it's not Wednesday!)
((bighugs)
I am so impressed you want to be the "Foodie Queen". I'd love that but I don't have enough gumption, and I'd have to eat all of my mistakes and that would lead to other really bad things! LOL
So, here's hoping you success in your plans.
