My Electronic Scrapbook: Westwood Plateau & Ridge Park 2002

Westwood Plateau, BC 2002

These are some of the first photographs I took with a digital camera in my new neighbourhood almost ten years ago.

Westwood Plateau, BC 2002

Absolutely everything was beautiful. The nature, was stunning.

Westwood Plateau, BC 2002

We lived at the top of a mountain in the clouds in a suburb in the sky, almost constantly covered in clouds.

This was my first walk through Ridge Park with my camera. Just getting into the park was a very tough workout for me. I would get up to this point where I actually entered the park and have to take a few seconds to catch my breath.

Ridge Park is magnificent and the nature there, beautiful. I do not know how many photographs of this odd tree I took the three and a half years I lived there. Guess I am going to find out since I am going through all my photographs!

The different shades of green and the massive trees, whether living or fallen, were so stunning. Being there was healing on a level I can not express.

Westwood Plateau, BC 2002

Many times Reg and I would walk around the entire loop together but stop here to drink some water and just take it all in.

Westwood Plateau, BC 2002

There were odd wildflowers everywhere in my neighbourhood that I explored on my walks.

I would come out of the trail and be greeted by even more mountains, feeling so blessed.

Every time we drove over the hill to the plateau on our way home we would lose our breath. How could we be so lucky to live in a place this beautiful completely surrounded by mountains? Oh, I could weep. It was so magnificent. So special. Too bad it ended up being, so very hard to stay.

All your photos are really breathtaking, so were your surroundings. That first pic is gorgeous, looks like little, perfect glass beads dangling from the foliage.

What a beautiful place! Love the pictures, specially the one with the mountain up in the clouds. Nice
