Reg and I have been absolutely loving the CBC show InSecurity. It is so up our alley for many reasons. It is set (although apparently not filmed) in Ottawa where we met and lived for over five years. Also, I have always wanted to be a spy since I was a little girl and we love espionage.
The show makes fun of Canada's spy agency that they call NISA and they sure do not hold back. Witty, hysterical, exciting and a bit silly, InSecurity makes us laugh and hoot every time.
What is even cooler is they have an InSecurity's Most Wanted List and on it you can find Reg's evil twin Professor Hypnauseous. OMG, Reg worked so hard on this poster! (I took the photo but he did everything else). I totally want him to win, he looks so creepy and totally dangerous.
He really wanted me to participate as well so we came up with Kara Scene together: "Highly elusive yet volatile international explosives expert and anarchist. The only thing more explosive than her work is her temper." No kidding!

InSecurity's first episode is one of the best first episodes of a show I have ever seen. We laughed non-stop and love that the best spy on the show is a woman who can really kick ass when she isn't drinking or doing something stupid. If you enjoy comedies and espionage, you will love this show!!!

I've watched it a couple of times on TV. I really liked the episode where granny bombers were used to try to blow up the CBC. Your "spy" photos and IDs are hilarious -- good luck!
Of course you can watch on CBC too, I just love the convenience of Neflix. Oh yes, that was awesome! OMG, the show is just too funny and ridiculous.

I really like your television recommendations, Suzie. I watched every single episode of "Better Off Ted" after you blogged about it, on Netflix and loved it too. So funny. It's hard to find a truly funny comedy. So I'll watch this too, thanks! xoO
