I get a kick photographing photographers as they work, it is my ironic funny bone or something. I couldn't help it especially in this case, to have this beautiful wedding photo being taken so close to an oil refinery eye sore seemed so very weird.
I am sure the photographer made sure to get only the island behind the party but from my perspective, it was 50/50.
Had a brutal nightmare too early this morning so I am in a weird mood. It was very clever. Snuck up on me and threw me out of sleep on the brink of tears.
Thought I would share this odd photo since I am now in an odd mood.

I hope your day improves. And I hope those people's wedding photos turned out okay because frankly, even the island alone doesn't look that scenic.
Thanks Debra, I think it will, it's nice to have something to write about that it happening now, for once. George's Island has a fort on it but I personally wouldn't want it as my background, LOL.
Yes lets hope those photos turned out ok cause you only get one shot at those wedding pics. Did you notice the woman elegantly dressed in the burgandy dress looking down at her bare feet? I think that's my quirky funny bone speaking. Sorry about the nightmares, hope you have sweeter dreams tonite.
I live near those oil refineries and while they may not be "picture perfect", they are part of our landscape and the scenery of Halifax.
Some people I guess don't need the stereotypical wedding scenery to complete their special day...real life it is.
