You can see the easel in this photograph on the right holding a painting. It is so important that the things in our lives make us feel good and to be careful of what we bring into our home.
Cautionary Tale

For example, I bought this "new" unseasoned cast iron cauldron at the thrift store. The day I did so I got pneumonia and then Reg got sick and all this weird crap started happening.

When I brought it home I noticed there were what seemed like herbs and sand on the bottom, obscuring stains. They were rust-coloured! I tried to remove them with my Dremel tool and they would not be removed. I salted and oiled and fired the cauldron in the oven... Still there and still crazy things were happening to us.
Let's just say, we don't have it anymore. Since its disappearance, life has gotten back to what we consider "normal". The energy is better. No one trying to get into our house. No weird candles being found in odd places...
Just because you may be positive with using an item does not mean a previous person who had it did the same thing. It has made me re-consider buying particular items second hand from now on.
Thankfully, the lovely easel is a wonderful addition to our home and has a positive effect. I would love to attract more energy that it brings. I want to be inspired, hopeful and creative.

Yeah, I've tossed a few things out over the years that seemed to be nothing but a jinx. Good riddance!
The old photograph is freakin' awesome! As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.
The easel is beautiful - what a treasure. May it entice lots of positive creative energy to your space.
As you wish for yourself, so i wish for you also.
The easel and it's story is charming :) Who knows what painter might be lurking with you!
I've been treasure hunting in stores and yard sales for decades, and what you say here is so true. We really have to test the spirit of an object before we bring it into our homes.
As you wish for yourself I wish for you also!
I do absolutely love your easel and how wonderful to have it shown in an old picture!
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.
What a wonderful treasures and source of inspiration that you have in the easel. As you wish for yourself, I also wish for you,
I've been reading about the power & energy of "things." May your easel bring positive vibes. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!
Glad you got rid of the cauldron. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.
I've sage smudged houses, but have never thought about things. Good thing to consider when we bring something "gently used" into our home.
I keep thinking that you should get the picture (grandmother?) blown up and put it in a frame on the easel.
As you wish for yourself, so I also wish for you.
Lovely wish!
When I buy clothes etc from repurposing stores, I usually put a bit of salt in when washing them, to clear former energy. Or hang them out if I can't wash them.
May you be blessed with inspired, hopeful and creative energy - as you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!
as you wish for yourself I too wish for you.
Put up a canvas, some brushes and paint, and you might surprise yourself. As you wish for yourself so I wish for you also.

I love the old easel. It's lovely to inherit meaningful things from family.
As you wish for yourself, I too wish for you.
What a beautiful easel, it's probably better you aren't a painter, that easel doesn't deserve to be covered in paint!! As YOU wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well.
Nice easel, it sure saw a few things in its long life. As you wish yourself, I wish for you too. Greetings from France.
